3-Way independent damping adjustment
By incorporating our class leading large diameter piston and ultra-strong piston rod, the Nitron RoadSport 3-Way Suspension Kit demonstrates outstanding levels of performance, damping control and adjustment. Piggyback or remotely mounted reservoir allows quick and simple independent adjustment of rebound and fast and slow compression damping. The large range of adjustment and quality of feedback allows the experienced driver to fully exploit the full potential of their car. The Nitron RoadSport 3-Way Suspension Kit is a proven race winner and lap record holder across a wide spectrum of international motorsport formulas.
The high-grade materials protect against corrosion whilst reducing weight. Every Nitron RoadSport 3-Way Suspension Kit kit is custom built, sprung and fully serviceable. Titanium and hard-anodised parts are hand built to last not only the lengthiest endurance races, season after season, but also the harshest of winters.

Nitron FAQ's
Here's some frequently asked questions about Nitron Suspension
Which Nitron suspension kit is best for road use?
For most road and fast road cars, we’d usually look at the Nitron RoadSport or NTR R1 kits. The RoadSport kit is designed to balance performance, comfort and reliability, while still keeping ride quality sensible for daily driving. The NTR R1 is a step up if you want more adjustment and a more focused road/track setup.
What is the difference between Nitron RoadSport, R1 and R3 coilovers?
The Nitron RoadSport kit is the most road-focused option, using OE top mounts and following the OE rear suspension type, making it a good choice for comfort and everyday use. The NTR R1 gives you easy-to-use 2-way combined damping control and is built for strong road and track performance. The NTR R3 is the more serious option, with independent 3-way damping adjustment, giving separate control of rebound, high-speed compression and low-speed compression for drivers who want to fine-tune the car properly.
Are Nitron coilovers suitable for track use?
Yes, Nitron suspension is very well suited to track use, but the right kit depends on how serious the car is. The NTR R1 is a strong option for fast road and track day use, while the NTR R3 is better suited to more focused builds where you want a larger range of adjustment and more detailed control over the car’s behaviour.
Are Nitron coilovers rebuildable or serviceable?
Yes, one of the big benefits of Nitron suspension is that the shocks are designed to be fully serviceable. Nitron state that their modular shock design allows products to be serviced, with critical components, fluids, gas, seals and bushes replaced to return the product to an “as new” technical condition.
What does Nitron R3 adjustment actually do?
Nitron R3 coilovers give independent 3-way damping adjustment. That means you can adjust rebound separately from high-speed and low-speed compression. In simple terms, it gives much more control over how the car reacts under braking, cornering, kerb strikes, bumps and weight transfer. For most normal road cars it may be more than needed, but for track-focused cars it’s a proper step up.
Do Nitron coilovers need setting up after fitting?
Yes, definitely. Nitron suspension should be installed properly, and after fitting we’d always recommend setting ride height sensibly, checking preload where applicable and carrying out a full alignment. For more serious road and track cars, corner weighting and proper geometry setup are well worth doing so you actually get the benefit from the suspension rather than just fitting it and leaving it.
What is the difference between a divorced rear and a true rear coilover setup?
On some vehicles, the factory rear suspension uses a divorced layout, where the spring and damper are mounted separately. A true rear coilover setup moves the spring onto the damper body, creating a coilover-style rear arrangement. The best option depends on the vehicle, how it’s used and what the suspension kit is designed for. For most road and fast road builds, we’d normally stick with the layout recommended by Nitron for that specific application.
Should I choose a divorced rear or true rear coilover setup?
If the car is mainly used on the road, a divorced rear setup is often the more suitable choice, especially where it follows the original suspension design. A true rear coilover setup can offer more adjustment and can be useful on certain track-focused builds, but it is not always the best option for every car. We’d always recommend choosing the correct Nitron kit for the vehicle rather than assuming true rear is automatically better.
