The KMP Drivetrain Clubsport Steering Wheel for the BMW E9X series blends daily driving comfort with motorsport-inspired performance. Featuring full plug & play integration of factory controls, it delivers precise tactile feedback, a robust construction, and a refined design that elevates both the look and feel of your E9X interior.
Full Factory Control with Unique Button Layout
The BMW E9X Clubsport Steering Wheel comes with 8 push buttons, each laser-etched with illuminated symbols for easy visibility. This fixed layout integrates seamlessly with factory controls, combining street usability with the feel of a race car. The button configuration includes:
- SW1: Down
- SW2: Up
- SW3: M-Sport*
- SW4: Star/Rotate*
- SW5: Phone
- SW6: Horn
- SW7: Volume +
- SW8: Volume –
*Note: The Star/Rotate button functions vary by model and may be customised through the iDrive system. If the vehicle does not include M-Sport, the M-Sport button will act as the “diamond” button found on the standard wheel.
This straightforward, plug-and-play design requires no wiring or coding, and an airbag resistor is included to prevent error codes.

For drivers seeking added race-focused functionality, the KMP Clubsport Nürburgring Steering Wheel BMW E9X M3 features push to pass flash, indicators and DTC, perfect for track use.
Optional PRO-Line for Added Personalisation
Whilst the Clubsport models buttons can be customised they were designed with preselected layouts in mind. If you are looking for a completely custom configuration KMP Pro-Line Steering Wheel BMW E9X M3 the opportunity to personalise button functions to fit specific driving needs, creating a uniquely tailored experience.
Premium Design with Finish Options
Finishes in Suede, Alcantara, or Leather
The standard options are high quality suede, alcantara or leather with a yellow 12 o'clock marker and black stitching. For added personalisation, drivers can choose custom options such as the 12 o’clock marker, stitching colour and grey alcantara for a small additional cost (£60).
For example on our own steering wheel we choose Grey 9002 Alcantara, BMW M Tri Colour stitching and removed the 12 o'clock marker. Options are subject to availability by KMP.
High-Tactile Magnetic Paddles and Illuminated Buttons
The Clubsport Steering Wheel features KMP’s high-tactile carbon fibre magnetic paddles for precise shifting and responsive control. The push buttons are laser-etched and illuminated, dimming in sync with interior lighting for enhanced aesthetics and functionality.
Installation and Optional Accessories
The BMW E9X Clubsport Steering Wheel is designed for easy, DIY installation, allowing users to install it without any additional wiring or coding. Each kit includes the steering wheel, hub and airbag resistor.
Additional Accessories:
- Crash-Hub – TÜV compliant for added safety.
- Quick Release with Integrated Connector – Provides complete wheel removal with a secure connection via Deutsch Autosport connector, ideal for track-oriented setups.
Please Note: All adapter/boss options still retain factory steering column adjustment.
