The kit is sold as a complete vehicle set for 5-bolt wheels, but 4-bolt wheel users can purchase Bimecc studs and nuts separately.
Safety & Security Considerations
When fitting aftermarket wheels or spacers, thread engagement is often reduced, which can compromise wheel security. Aftermarket wheels tend to have more material on the mounting surface, increasing the length of studs or bolts required for proper fitting. Similarly, using a spacer shifts the wheel’s seating position, further shortening thread engagement and necessitating longer studs or bolts.
For instance, installing a 15mm spacer reduces thread engagement by the same amount. It is critical to regain this 15mm to ensure your wheels remain securely fastened.
While using longer bolts is one option, the Bimecc Stud & Nut Conversion Kit is a safer, more convenient alternative. The kit allows for easier wheel installation by using studs that serve as guides, eliminating the need to rotate the wheel to align bolt holes.
