Scorpion Exhausts Returns & Restocking Policy
Due to the supplier handling, administration and restocking costs associated with Scorpion Exhaust products, a 15% restocking fee applies to non-faulty Scorpion Exhaust returns where Nineteen72 Performance agrees to accept the return outside the customer’s statutory cancellation rights.
The 15% restocking fee is calculated against the purchase price of the returned Scorpion product and will be deducted from the refund issued.
Return Conditions
To be eligible for return, products must be:
- Unused and unfitted
- Free from installation marks, clamp marks, scratches, sealant residue or other damage
- Complete with all supplied components, clamps, fittings and accessories
- Returned with the original manufacturer packaging and protective materials where reasonably possible
- Returned in a condition suitable for resale
We reserve the right to refuse a discretionary return, or make an appropriate deduction for diminished value where permitted by law, if a product has been fitted, used, damaged, modified, returned incomplete, or handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it.
Unless the product is faulty, incorrectly supplied or otherwise covered by your statutory rights, the customer is responsible for the cost and safe return of the goods to Nineteen72 Performance.
Damaged or Missing Packaging
Opening packaging in order to reasonably inspect a product will not, by itself, result in an automatic restocking fee.
However, where original manufacturer packaging, protective materials, internal packaging, component bags or other supplied packaging has been damaged, discarded or returned in a condition that reduces the value of the product, Nineteen72 Performance may make a deduction from the refund to reflect the resulting reduction in value where permitted by law.
This may include circumstances where damaged or missing packaging means the product can no longer reasonably be resold as new, or where the condition of the returned product results in a genuine manufacturer or supplier restocking deduction.
Test Fitting and Installation
Customers should not fit or install a Scorpion Exhaust product if they intend to return it.
Test fitting or installation may result in clamp marks, scratches, sealant residue, heat marking, contamination or other signs of use. Where this handling goes beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the product and causes a reduction in value, an appropriate deduction may be made from the refund where permitted by law.
Statutory Cancellation Rights
This restocking fee does not affect your statutory rights.
For qualifying consumer purchases made online, customers retain their statutory cancellation rights under UK consumer law. Where a customer validly exercises those rights within the applicable cancellation period, a general 15% restocking fee will not automatically be charged.
However, Nineteen72 Performance may make a deduction from the refund where permitted by law if the value of the goods has been reduced as a result of handling beyond what would reasonably be necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
Any such deduction will be based on the actual reduction in value of the returned product and may take account of factors such as fitting marks, missing components, damaged or discarded manufacturer packaging, loss of resale value, or a genuine supplier restocking deduction caused by the condition in which the goods were returned.
Faulty or Incorrect Goods
The 15% restocking fee does not apply to goods that are faulty, damaged on arrival, incorrectly supplied, misdescribed or otherwise subject to a valid claim under your statutory consumer rights.
This policy applies specifically to Scorpion Exhaust products supplied by Nineteen72 Performance.
