But for some reason, brake cooling products have always been lacking, and massively sub-standard compared to products in other categories. When we built our own M2 Competition, we worked with Pinnacle Motorsport to quickly improve their lower arm brake scoop prior to a Nurburgring trip, which had been poorly designed by a previous company. As brilliant as the Pinnacle Backing Plate kit was, it was let down by the scoop, which feeds air to the backing plate, which cools the brake disks. Being silicone-based, the hose flexes much easier, meaning you don't end up with jagged bends in your hose, which can restrict airflow.
